What is cannon names?

Cannon names refer to the different types of artillery used during military warfare. They are often named after the designer, the country of origin or their purpose.

Some famous cannon names include the Multi-Barrel Rocket Launcher (MBRL), the Howitzer, the Gatling Gun, the Panzerfaust, the TOW missile, the Bofors Gun, the Bravo Five, and the M119 Howitzer.

Cannon names can also reflect the type of ammunition they fire, such as the mortars, which fire shells that are launched with a high angle trajectory and produce a steep arc and a short range.

The names of cannons often become synonymous with the battles in which they are used. Famous examples include the "Big Bertha" cannon which was used by the Germans during World War I, and the "Little David" cannon, which was developed during the Second World War and used by the United States.
